About Me

Hi! I'm Adam, a 3D artist that specializes in hard surface art and environment creation. I started making models back in high school with Autodesk Maya, and have moved into other software packages such as Blender and SideFx's Houdini in the years since. Creating and immersing myself into large environments is my passion, and I strive to put as much depth, care, and detail into the scenes I create.

I found my passion in 3D art back in 2016 with the release of a web series called RWBY that was created by Monty Oum. It was the over-the-top action scenes and stunningly unique characters that drew me into the series at first, but I quickly realized that the world that Monty had envisioned was what really captured my imagination. It was the grand castle academy known as Beacon that towered over the city of Vale below, the flying Amity Colloseum that accompanied the Vytal festivals, and the city of Mistral that climbs two mountains and spans the peaks of both that, among other locations, solidified my love of getting to know the locations that RWBY's stories take place in.

Since then, I've gone on to develop a love of all facets of 3D art and animation, and a particular hunger for creating and developing my own worlds. I graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in Edmonton with a diploma in 3D animation, and have taken and completed several courses from Rebelway Academy in environment design and procedural modeling. My primary DCC is Blender, but I have 2 years of experience in Maya and a half year inside of Houdini. As well, I am constantly looking for new software and packages to utilize in my workflow, with Unreal Engine 5 and Substance Painter and Designer being the two that I am diving into at the moment.
